& functional training
After having your baby we will help you lose the baby weight, and get in even better shape than before you got pregnant! Being a mom takes energy! We will help you with the repair of many issues that can occur during and after pregnancy including diastasis recti and pelvic floor dysfunction. We will help you look and feel your absolute best!
Every pregnancy is different, and every mother will recover at her own pace. Your body is unique, and we will help with whatever issues you are experiencing and help prevent future occurances. For example, diastasis recti is a common complaint in postpartum women. Holding a baby while breastfeeding and throughout the day can lead to upper back and neck pain, as well as carpel tunnel. We can help ease these issues helping you become more comfortable by addressing pelvic asymmetry, correcting posture, and guiding you on correct body positioning. We will also aid in proper movements during certain tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and caring for children. We will teach you how to alleviate these issues on your own, so your body can carry on the benefits far into the future!

I started training in 2000 at a big chain gym. I enjoyed training people with general goals like
weight loss and muscle gain. Over time, I started to enjoy helping people with more complicated challenges. I started to enjoy
learning how to train people with complicated injuries and clients training for specific sports.
When I got pregnant myself pelvic hyper-mobility issues I was unaware of came up, and I spent my last month of pregnancy
limping and on crutches. Even with all my own experience working out for over 20 years, my knowledge of the human body
and understanding of injury rehab and prevention, I was surprised at how pregnancy changes the body and affects working out.
I became interested in the most challenging specialty related to personal training I'd delved into yet.
I was especially challenged to find ways to prevent, work around and repair injuries and complications like sciatica,
carpal tunnel, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes and many more issues that can be associated with pregnancy. Always looking for
a way to overcome challenges for my clients that are not well understood by other professionals, I jumped feet first into
learning about prenatal and postpartum conditions and how fitness training and nutrition could improve the experience for
mothers and their babies.
This type of training, which is a new and much needed field, has become my passion. I dedicate my time, often taking
specialized courses or working with physical therapists to learn more
about how I can help women before and after their babies and keep them strong, looking and feeling their best, so they can enjoy
motherhood - and life, to the fullest.
